Ken Coleman is an African American writer
originally from Washington D. C. and currently residing in North
Carolina.
Memories Vision was inspired by a biography about Ella Fitzgerald.
Towards the end of the documentary there was about a minute of Ella’s son, Ray
Brown Jr., praising his mom. He was obviously very proud of who she was and what
she had accomplished. When he finished she added, “I wasn’t a very good mother.”
